Fair questions, straight answers

What does "read-only users are free" mean?
Anyone whose role only lets them view and download — colleagues, partners, franchisees — costs nothing, on every plan, in any number. Billing counts only the users who manage or contribute.
Do the people I share links with need an account?
They sign in — but only with their email: enter an address, get a one-time code, and the share opens. There are no open-to-all links. Pulling files is free forever, so read-only recipients are never billed. If you let people push work back, they create a proper account, and each of those uploaders counts as a user on your plan — because by then they're doing the work, not just looking.
What happens after my free first month on Team?
You choose to continue and pay €19.99 per user per month, or you don't. We take no card up front, so nothing renews silently.
What counts as an asset?
A file in your library. Its versions belong to it — a logo with five versions is one asset.
How does pooled storage work on Team?
Each user adds 1 GB to a shared pot. Five people, 5 GB, used by whoever needs it.
Where is my data hosted?
In Germany, under EU data residency and GDPR. It does not leave the EU.
Can I take my files and leave?
Always. Your assets are yours; download them at any time. We hold only the limited licence needed to host and deliver them.
What's the story with expired licences?
Every asset can carry usage rights and an expiry. ContentCamel warns you 30 days out and blocks sharing of expired-rights assets unless you deliberately override it. Fewer awkward letters from photographers.
