KB and MB are counted in steps of 1,024 bytes, the same as in the size column.

Dimensions and duration can only be read for files this browser can decode. HEIC photos and some video codecs cannot be read: those files show Could not read dimensions and are still checked for file size and format. The format shown is what the file content says, not what its name says. An SVG is measured by the size it declares. Videos are read for metadata only, never played.

How it works

What stays private

On your device. The work happens in this page, on your computer or phone. Nothing you choose or type is uploaded or sent to a server.
No third parties. The tool code makes no network requests and uses no third-party scripts. The page itself is counted like any other page on this site, without cookies.
Gone when you close the tab. Results exist only in this page until you download them.
